News! ‘Disney Family Culinary Adventure’ Coming to Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Do you have a budding chef in the family or maybe your family just really likes great food? There’s an all-new family experience coming to Disney’s Contemporary Resort that’s perfect for people who love food and cooking.

The Disney Family Culinary Adventure is a fun-filled culinary adventure for guests ages 9 and older. The experience takes place in the catering kitchens at the Contemporary and they’re hosted by Disney chefs.

The 30 guests for each experience will don their aprons, hats, and gloves and be separated into five groups. The groups are: garde manger where they’ll learn how to make homemade butter and farmer’s cheese; sushi; Boucherie where guests will learn to trim a beef tenderloin; pasta; and patisserie where guests will get to “play” with chocolate and make dessert.

After the cooking stations are complete the guests will get to enjoy a five-course meal – the one they just prepared! Guests with food allergies or those who are vegetarian or vegan will have safe food options.

Each course will be served with wine and beer for the adults and the meal ends with a special molecular gastronomy demonstration. Guests are given a chef’s hat and signed cookbook as a parting gift.

The Disney Family Culinary Adventure is $125 for guests ages 9-12 and $175 for guests ages 13 and older. Reservations can be made by calling 407-WDW-PLAY. This experience is scheduled for two nights per week and days will vary. It begins July 8.
