Favorite Water Sports at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Disney’s Contemporary Resort Marina
Summer in Orlando can be brutally hot. And sometimes you just want to cool off and do something out-of-the-ordinary.

That’s when you head down to the marina at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for some fun on Bay Lake.

Sammy Duvall’s Watersports Centre located at the Contemporary’s marina offers one- or two-hour sessions for waterskiing, parasailing, wakeboarding, or tubing.

The parasailing sessions can be booked as a single or tandem session and you’ll take off and land right from the boat, so you don’t need to worry about getting wet. The standard parasailing flight is between eight and 10 minutes long at 450 feet of line, and the deluxe flight is 10-12 minutes at 600 feet of line. Regardless of the flight you choose, you’ll be getting a rare, bird’s eye view of the Walt Disney World Resort, no pixie dust needed for this flight!

The minimum age to parasail is 6 years old. The single or combined weight for single or tandem fliers is between 130-330 pounds.

Another water sports option includes Personal Watercraft Rental from Sammy Duval’s. The Personal Watercraft Rentals include a guided tour option for $135 per watercraft or a rental for $80 for 30 minutes or $135 for an hour. You can find more information about the PWC rentals at Sammy Duval’s website.

Guests can also participate in combo Water Ski, Slalom Ski, Wakeboard, Wake Skate, Wake Surf and Tube on Bay Lake. Prices vary and reservations can be made at the marina. And if you’re just looking for a leisurely day on Bay Lake, guests can also rent boats at the marina.
