Arrive in convenient style from Orlando International Airport by using Disney’s complimentary shuttle, the Magical Express. Courteous staff will deliver you and your luggage directly to the Contemporary. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy a magical start to your stay.
Once you are in the World, take advantage of Disney’s extensive complimentary transportation system, and leave the driving to the experts. Rather than struggle with the hassle of renting a car, driving, and parking, guests can use complimentary transportation to visit various destinations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, including the theme parks, water parks and Downtown Disney. Transportation options for Contemporary Resort guests include travel by bus, boat, and monorail directly from the Contemporary right to points throughout the resort.
Both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach Water Parks are accessible via bus directly from the Contemporary Resort, as are Downtown Disney, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. To head to the Magic Kingdom, resort guests can use the Magic Kingdom Monorail or walkway. In fact, the Contemporary Resort is the only Disney resort that has the monorail running directly through the center of the hotel.
Resort guests may also use the monorail to visit Epcot theme park, but will need to transfer to the Epcot monorail via the Transportation and Ticket Center. Guests may also “hop” from the Contemporary to Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa directly via the resort monorail. If Contemporary Resort guests need to visit other Walt Disney World resort hotels, they can use the resort’s extensive bus system and ride to the Downtown Disney area, where they can then transfer to the Resort hotel bus to reach their destination.
If you would like to leave the modern comfort of the Contemporary for the grandeur of the Pacific Northwest, catch the Blue Flag Launch, which departs from the Contemporary Resort Marina every 20-30 minutes. Guests who are traveling to Fort Wilderness Campground will also find the boat a comfortable and convenient way to travel.
Finally, once their vacation has ended, resort guests can once more use Disney’s Magical Express to return to Orlando International Airport.
