Luckily, Disney’s Contemporary Resort has lots of dining options for that most important meal of the day — both table-service and quick service:
The Wave
The Wave is the Contemporary’s newest restaurant, and offers casual fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is probably a spot you can still get into without a reservation — especially for breakfast — and you’ll be glad to have tried it! Featuring steel cut oatmeal, multi-grain pancakes and waffles, organic coffee, fruit smoothies, make-your-own muesli, and a variety of omelets and standard favorites, you’re sure to start your day energized after eating here! Chef Mickey’s
The quintessential Contemporary Resort breakfast experience, Chef Mickey’s is one of the most popular character breakfasts on Disney World property! Book your dining reservations early for this one — 180 days in advance if you can! Here you’ll see the fab five — Mickey, Donald, Pluto, Goofy, and Minnie — in full cooking regalia. You’ll also have the chance to chow down on some Disney dining favorites, like Pluto’s Cheese Blitzes, breakfast pizza, and Chef Mickey’s famous cheesy potatoes! This restaurant is located on the 4th Floor Grand Canyon Concourse.
Contempo Cafe
This quick-service location offers a high-tech experience as you order via touch screens! Choose your favorite combination of ingredients for an omelet, or settle in with cold cereal, pancakes, or just some toast and coffee. When you’re finished at Contempo Cafe, head upstairs to catch the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom or Epcot!
Contemporary Grounds
This tiny coffee stop also offers some delicious pastries! Contemporary Grounds is a great grab-and-go location in the lobby of the restaurant — perfect for a quick stop on your way out to the parks.
In-Room Dining
For those of you who just can’t get out of bed after that late-night Extra Magic Hours session last night, know that the Contemporary has you covered! Check the information in your room for an In-Room Dining menu and simply call in your order. Or, if you’re thinking ahead, leave your order on the door the evening before!
